Why This Matters
AI governance is moving from abstract commitments toward implementation. For many communities, the central question is how global evidence, technical expertise, and governance frameworks can become locally useful: stronger institutions, better public services, safer deployment practices, and practical tools that serve the public interest.
This side event will create space for intercultural dialogue on those questions. It will examine how evidence can inform readiness, how public-interest AI prototypes can make governance more tangible, and how diverse regional perspectives can shape implementation pathways that are more inclusive and accountable.
Partnership
The event reflects EuroMedAI’s mission to connect Mediterranean and international perspectives in AI governance, safety, and ethics. By convening this discussion with BRISD and the Global Center on AI Governance alongside the United Nations Global Dialogue on AI Governance, EuroMedAI aims to support a practical bridge between global AI governance processes and local capacity-building needs.
Participants interested in joining the discussion can RSVP on Luma.
