Our Origin
Born from the spirit of collaboration at the Anna Lindh Foundation's ALForum 2025 in Tirana, EuroMedAI transforms dialogue into action.
In June 2025, civil society leaders, academic institutions, policy makers, and technologists from across the Mediterranean gathered in Tirana, Albania, to turn dialogue into action.
The Driving Action pillar of ALForum inspired the creation of EuroMedAI—a network dedicated to responsible AI governance, cross-cultural innovation, and amplifying Mediterranean voices in the global AI landscape.

EuroMedAI spans the entire Euro-Mediterranean region, connecting 17+ countries from Southern Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. Our network bridges diverse cultures and expertise to shape a truly inclusive AI future for the Mediterranean.
