Three ways we turn regional knowledge into public value

Our six strategic pillars come together in three clear programmes—making it easier to understand where we work and how partners can contribute.

Research and foresight

Produce evidence, readiness assessments and regional intelligence that help decision-makers act on the realities of Mediterranean societies.

Policy and convening

Bring institutions and communities into the same room to shape practical policy, shared positions and responsible governance standards.

Capacity and public knowledge

Turn complex AI questions into multilingual training, accessible resources and open tools people can use in their own contexts.

Our Core Pillars

Our Core Pillars

EuroMedAI operates through six interconnected pillars that drive our mission to promote responsible AI governance across the Euro-Mediterranean region.

Advocacy and Policy Dialogue

Launch regional advocacy campaigns, events, workshops and publish joint statements, policy briefs and papers on emerging AI governance, safety and ethics trends.

Research and Community-Based Action

Support cross-border studies and pilot projects that ground AI governance, safety and ethics principles in local realities.

Communication and Knowledge Dissemination

Translate complex AI concepts into accessible, multilingual resources and deliver them through diverse formats.

Resources Development & Alignment

Co-create open-licensed toolkits, datasets and model cards; maintain public repositories aligned to the Mediterranean context.

Capacity Building

Enhance understanding of AI governance, safety and ethics through training, coaching and mentorship for civil servants, youth, civil society and others.

Mediterranean AI Observatory

Partner with research institutions to build a Mediterranean AI observatory tracking regional AI developments and practices.
