Building Mediterranean AI for Industrial and Sustainable Transformation
The Mediterranean Artificial Intelligence Forum 2026 will bring together innovation stakeholders, industrial communities, public decision-makers, digital experts, entrepreneurs and institutional representatives from across the Mediterranean.
The forum will create a regional platform for dialogue and collaboration on the role of artificial intelligence in shaping tomorrow’s economic and industrial transformations, with particular emphasis on Industry 4.0 and the transition to a low-carbon industrial economy.

Connecting Projects With the Partners They Need
Ahead of the forum, a Call for Challenges ran from 17 June to 10 July 2026 to identify up to five mature projects seeking to scale across the Mediterranean. The initiative focused on practical barriers including:
- Scaling or adapting existing technologies
- Navigating regulatory requirements
- Accessing data and finance
- Finding industrial or institutional partners
- Expanding beyond a project’s original market
Selected challenges are expected to benefit from co-creation workshops, targeted matchmaking and reverse-pitch opportunities connecting project leaders with investors, academic partners and public institutions.
Priority Sectors
The forum places particular attention on projects rooted in the Mediterranean context and already tested in their country or region. Priority areas include:
- Industry 4.0
- Carbon-emissions monitoring
- Healthcare
- Agrifood
- Maritime industries
A Regional Coalition for Responsible Innovation
The event is organised with the support of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Expertise France, Facteur C and ANIMA Investment Network, bringing together public, private and research communities around a shared ambition for Mediterranean AI.
For the Euro-Mediterranean AI ecosystem, the forum offers a timely space to connect responsible innovation with industrial adoption, investment readiness and cross-border cooperation.
