AMSA-AI Regional Expansion: Call for Country Partners
AMSA-AI invites qualified organisations and country representatives in Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, and Lebanon to lead local adaptation, build partnerships, and support pilot delivery.
AMSA-AI is entering a new phase of regional expansion. Showcased at the AI for Good Global Summit during Geneva AI Week 2026 alongside the United Nations Global Dialogue on AI Governance, AMSA-AI has been recognised as a UN-highlighted initiative for inclusive, locally grounded AI literacy. Building on this momentum, we invite expressions of interest from qualified organisations and experienced professionals in Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, and Lebanon to serve as country partners and help translate the initiative into locally relevant action.
The objective is to establish a trusted network of national partners able to connect regional ambition with local priorities. Selected partners will work with municipalities, civil society organisations, public institutions, universities, and community actors to adapt the AMSA-AI approach, strengthen local ownership, and prepare practical pilot activities.

Country partners will join a regional initiative focused on making AI literacy, responsible use, and local digital capacity more accessible to the institutions and communities that need them most.
A national leadership role
Act as a country-level focal point and help shape an implementation roadmap grounded in national and local priorities.
Regional peer exchange
Connect with partners across the four priority countries to exchange methods, lessons, and locally tested approaches.
Implementation resources
Draw on the AMSA-AI framework, learning resources, and implementation guidance when adapting activities for local audiences.
Partnership and visibility
Build relationships with public and civic actors and contribute country experience to regional learning, communication, and dialogue.
Participation also creates a pathway to co-design locally relevant pilots and develop future partnership or funding opportunities. The scope and timing of any pilot support will be agreed through programme planning and will depend on available resources.
The Role
Selected partners will be expected to:
- Serve as the principal country contact for AMSA-AI coordination.
- Map relevant national and local stakeholders, initiatives, and institutional needs.
- Convene consultations with municipalities, public institutions, civil society, universities, and community groups.
- Support the local adaptation of AMSA-AI resources, outreach, and delivery formats.
- Identify partnership opportunities and contribute to the design of pilot activities.
- Document lessons, practical needs, and results to inform regional exchange and future programme development.
Who Should Apply
We welcome applications from civil society organisations, professional associations, research and training institutions, social-impact organisations, local-governance specialists, and other qualified actors that meet the following criteria:
- Legal and institutional standing: A legally registered organisation in the country, or a professional formally affiliated with one.
- Relevant experience: A demonstrated track record in local governance, decentralisation, civic participation, gender equality, women’s empowerment, digital inclusion, responsible AI, public-sector innovation, or institutional capacity-building.
- Strong local networks: Established relationships with municipalities, public institutions, civil society organisations, universities, professional networks, or community groups.
- Delivery capacity: The ability to organise consultations, coordinate stakeholders, support partnership development, and contribute to pilot implementation.
- Commitment to inclusion: A practical understanding of the barriers faced by women, young people, non-technical users, and communities that remain underserved by digital transformation.
Applications that combine strong local legitimacy with the ability to work across sectors will be particularly relevant.
Selection Approach
Expressions of interest will be assessed on:
- The relevance and depth of the applicant’s experience.
- The strength and diversity of their national and local networks.
- Their understanding of the country’s institutional and community context.
- Their capacity to convene partners and support practical delivery.
- Their alignment with AMSA-AI’s commitment to responsible, inclusive, and locally grounded AI adoption.
Shortlisted applicants may be invited to a follow-up discussion to explore fit, country priorities, and a possible scope of collaboration.
